zyBooks maintains your sign-in status by temporarily and securely storing your user credentials in the browser's local storage. This allows you to remain signed in as you navigate zyBooks and synchronizes your activity data across multiple browser tabs so you can quickly get back to learning.
To sign in, you will need to enable zybooks.com access to either your browser's local storage or first party cookies.

Safari
When using Safari browser you must allow codingrooms.com to use cookies and website data while browsing zybooks.com. When you see the following pop-up, select "Allow".

If you did not see the pop-up appear, go back to the zyBooks lab activity and refresh your browser window.
If the pop-up still does not appear, navigate to Safari Settings --> Privacy --> Manage Website Data. In manage website data search for "codingrooms" and Remove the data associated with codingrooms.com. (see image below)
Go back to the zyBooks lab activity and refresh your browser window to see the pop-up.

If the steps above fail, you should disable "Prevent cross-site tracking" by going to Settings -> Privacy

Chrome
Chrome should enable local storage and allow cross-site tracking by default. However, if you notice labs not loading, check your settings to ensure third-party cookies are enabled: chrome://settings/cookies
iPad
When using an iPad, navigate to Settings -> Apps -> Safari -> Disable "Prevent Cross-Site Tracking"

Brave
When using Brave browser, the lab environment will not work with "Shields UP". You must set your "Shields" to "DOWN" on zybooks.com to use the lab environment.

Firefox
For Firefox, click on the shield icon to the left of the address bar.

Toggle the switch at the top of the panel. This will turn off Enhanced Tracking Protection for this site.The page will reload automatically and allow the labs environment to work properly.

Private and Incognito
In Chrome incognito and Edge In-private, you'll see cookies are blocked by default and you can toggle it on before visiting zyBooks.

Additionally, the address bar for Chrome browsers that restrict third-party cookies will show an "eye" icon on a site that attempts to access third-party cookies:

Click the eye icon to see information about Tracking Protection, a new Chrome feature that limits cross-site tracking by restricting website access to third-party cookies by default:

For Edge private, click the lock icon at the address bar and disable tracking prevention:

If you cannot enable local storage, or enabling it does not resolve the issue, you may need to refer to your browser's documentation below on how to manually edit local storage to add zybooks.com and codingrooms.com there. These settings may also be controlled by a third party internet security tool or system administrator.
