zyBooks greatly appreciates and respects all feedback that is sent our way! We make it easy to send us feedback by providing "Feedback" buttons at the bottom of each activity, figure, table, and section.
All zyBooks material goes through a thorough review process before being published but sometimes mistakes happen or something that makes sense to us might end up needing more clarification. When that happens, we appreciate when our students and instructors are able to let us know so that we can update the material as needed as quickly as possible before other students are thrown off!
We also recognize that some of the mistakes might be more serious than others. To help us prioritize which issues should be addressed first, an option describing the severity of the feedback is required to be selected before submitting the feedback.
Serious error. Should be fixed urgently, like something is broken or there is a confusing mistake.
For example, the question below is missing an image necessary to answer the questions. This issue should be fixed urgently.
|
Minor error. Should be fixed but not urgently.
For example, there is a typo in the question below. This should be fixed but its not urgent. |
Suggested improvement. Gets forwarded to authors for revision every few months.
For example, the question below does not contain any errors. However, one could suggest that we include a foreign film in the table.
|
Something else. Gets reviewed by content/platforms teams every few months.
For example, if an activity or animation was particulary helpful. |
The zyBooks Support team reviews all tickets that come in. We go through and check the validity of the comment and then take the appropriate action needed. If the material is correct as is we'll politely let the reporter know and provide a brief explanation. If the material requires a small revision, we often make that revision ourselves. If the material requires a larger revision, the support team works directly with the authors of the material to make such revisions. Everyone on the zyBooks Support staff has a background in intro Computer Science and/or Math and is able to evaluate feedback as it comes in.
NOTE: The zyBooks Support staff does not provide any tutoring or guide students in how to solve any of the challenge or lab activities. Our role is to determine if such activities are correct/clear and then to revise the activities as needed.
When a feedback item is submitted, the support ticket that is generated also provides the support team with a link to the activity which makes it easy for the team to locate the activity and do their initial investigation. It is highly recommended to use the feedback buttons rather than emailing support directly as this helps us to more quickly prioritize the tickets and quickly navigate to the items being reported on.
For broader questions, students and instructors can reach the zyBooks Support team by emailing support@zybooks.com.
