zyBooks allow instructors to add to our content in several ways.
- Instructor notes: Instructors can add notes for students throughout the content, including at the top of each section, as well as within sections. Instructors use such notes to provide brief supplements to or comments on our content, or to link out to supplemental web pages, powerpoint slides, google docs, youtube videos, and more. See this article for info.
- zyLabs: Instructors can create their own programming assignments as zyLabs, for several supported languages, including writing specifications of any length composed in markdown.
- Instructor-created sections: Instructors can create their own sections to their own class or evaluation zyBook. These custom sections can contain text blocks, question sets, tables, images, static code blocks, and runnable blocks of code! Learn how in our article, Authoring your own sections.
Of course, instructors can also customize our content by reconfiguring chapters and sections. Instructors can even combining multiple catalog zyBooks into one zyBook, specified when adopting a class zyBook, or by contacting your sales associate.
